How does the recruitment process work?
You send us a CV, we call you within one working day to understand what you are looking for, then we verify your documents. Once compliance clears, you start receiving shifts that match your stated availability and travel radius.
Can I work without NMC registration?
Not in a registered nurse role — an active NMC PIN is a legal requirement. We do place healthcare assistants and support workers without one, and we can talk you through what an OSCE route to registration involves.
What do UK nursing agencies typically pay?
It depends on band, speciality, region and whether the shift is days, nights or a bank holiday. As a guide, our band 5 general nursing shifts sit between £26 and £34 an hour. You see the exact rate before you accept anything.
How long until I am placed?
Compliance is the slow part, not the placement. With complete documents and a valid DBS, most candidates are working within a week or two. Waiting on a new DBS or overseas references can add three to four weeks.
Do you cover travel nursing?
Yes. We arrange blocks of shifts away from home with accommodation support, which suits people who want to work intensively for a period and then take proper time off.
Is there any cost to me as a candidate?
No. Our services are free for healthcare professionals. We are paid by the organisations that hire, and we will never ask you for a registration or placement fee.
What qualifications do I need?
For registered roles: a relevant clinical qualification, current professional registration and recent practice hours. For support roles: the Care Certificate is ideal, though we do place people with strong care experience and no formal certificate.
What kinds of organisation do you staff?
NHS trusts, private hospitals, nursing and residential homes, hospices, and community health services. Bookings range from a single shift to permanent contracts.
